How did you spend your New Year’s Eve? Let me tell you our story!!

Our NYE started by getting invited to be part of the production of the ABC’s “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest” and Julianne Hough and “The Gronk” live tv show on the rooftop of the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas! We showed up, checked in and then, of course as an extra, we waited for awhile. But that gave us plenty of time to make new friends.

We got excorted to the Cosmo rooftop and everyone got in their places for the live performances as the audience. We were front row for All American Rejects and AJR. The performances were amazing with some awesome confetti pops. Then it happened!

We were secretly hand-selected from the audience of about 600 people to be part of a secret project. They made it sound so exclusive and secretive. We don’t really know what to expect. We were kind of nervous because we didn’t want to miss out on the performances and being involved in the production of it all at the midnight countdown. But we took the risk and accepted the invite without knowing anything.

We got escorted into a private room in the Cosmo with like only 20-30 other people. We were all kind of confused. Didn’t know what we had “signed up for”. But then the owner of the entire production company that was paying us to be there came out and introduced himself and told us what we were going to be doing and gave us all once last chance to back out.

After we found out what we were going to be doing, we were so excited and happy and Just mind blown. There was no chance we were going to back out now.

He said we were all hand-selected to go on a boat that takes us out to a small barge in the middle of the Belaggio Fountains during the midnight countdown to watch the firework show in the fountains with Gronk live on tv. We could not believe it.

This was our 8 year anniversary date as well as NYE party and this was something we were surprised with. A memory that will live with us forever.

They took us behind the scenes under the Belaggio, I to the scuba diving backlot basically at water level where the boats dock. We hopped on the transport boat, and rode out of the backlot, through the tunnel out into the Belaggio fountains. As soon as we got out on the lake, the fountains went off so we were literally right behind the fountains on the water as they were shooting off into the sky. We were so close we could have almost touched the fountains themselves. Once we got to the small barge in the middle of the fountains, we got off the boat and then waited right in the middle of the fountains as they were shooting off. This is the closest we have ever seen the fountains. We were right up on them. Getting soaking wet from the rain and the mist but we didn’t care. We were having the time of our lives and enjoying a moment that only a very few people get to enjoy in the entire world.

Out comes Gronk on his own boat. We all freaked out when he jumped on the platform with us. He was so cool. He gave everyone high fives and hugs and talked to us all and we had such a fun just casual chill session with him before we all had to go live for the announcements. He went live on his feed and we all cheered and then we all went live on our feeds and he was in the background cheering us on. It was an awesome moment.

We did the live announcements, did the countdown and then all the fireworks in Las Vegas rooftops went off. Lauren and I kissed and then we got to watch the most amazing firework show we have ever seen and with Gronk and in one of the best places to watch a firework show.

It was one of the happiest moments of my life and I will forever be thankful for all of the decisions that led up to this one magical experience that I will never forget.
